The geography of China had a positive impact on Qin's Empire. Under Emperor Qin's power China was united into one. This map shows the boarders of the Qin Dyasty as well as the current borders of China. During this time period the Great Wall of China was built, bordering the northern edge of the Qin Empire. The Great Wall was built to protect the Qin Dynasty from the invasions of the Nomads in the north. An important aspect of China's geography is the water. Many rivers including the Yangtze River ran through the Empire. Having the ocean being one of the borders of the Qin Dynasty helped with trade.
